Our client who specialises in global vendor relationships seeks a Legal Counsel to provide high-level professional legal services to achieve defined objectives in accordance with standards and goals set by their global legal and compliance team

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Deliver input to business strategy and plan from a legal and compliance perspective
Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, processes and tools for legal areas of competence
Assess and monitor all processes, procedures, structures, products and services from a legal and compliance point of view
Contribute to development of vendor agreements and or applications, advise on legal matters and execute legal activities to deliver high quality and efficient legal and compliance services
Obtain in- and outside legal expertise and liaise with in- and outside legal experts
Exchange and share legal and compliance knowledge in order to improve the quality and effectiveness of the legal function locally and internationally and create legal and compliance risk awareness

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

University degree in business law
3-7 years experience in a legal / financial environment as business lawyer; experience with drafting of documentation/agreements and transaction processes
Knowledge of business management processes and tax law / systems; proficient in at least one legal competence area
Coordinates, integrates and negotiates legal expertise of mainly one legal competence area into agreements / documents
Interaction with others demands understanding, providing support and/or influencing.
Persuasion and reasoning are mainly based on profound legal knowledge
