Our client a bank subsidiary seeks an additional Business Development Manager to build upon an existing team developing middle ticket business typically from £500,000 to £5M across a wide variety of assets.
Business is derived from intermediaries meaning broker and vendors plus also direct and transactions range from those of hard assets to IT / telecoms / software to more structured transactions where for example security might be taken on a sub hire agreement that the assets are subject to.
Our client seeks to find and win margin rich deals that are more creative than the norm and visits every customer to close each transaction irrespective of the introducer route. They typically achieving a margin of c4.00% and your remit will be to write c£24M a year of new business building increased volume and commitment from the existing introducer network rather than winning new introducers.
Candidate Profile
You will be contractually home based and live ideally in London & South East / Thames Valley. You should have a good understanding of a broad range of products including finance lease, HP and Operating Leasing and must have good credit skills as credit stewardship is a function of the role. In this regard someone with a credit background but with customer facing personality and effective relationship development skills seeking to move into a sales role will be considered.
You must have drive, ambition and get up and go and a desire to achieve challenging but achievable targets as part of an autonomous business unit.
Salary range typically from £50,000 to £55,000 with a £25,000 performance bonus, discretionary but with uncapped potential for high achievers , plus usual large company benefits , pension , life , health cover and a company car are all provided.
