
Our client requires a Head of Collections to lead a growing team of 10+ collections & litigation specialists in the asset finance sector, potentially at Director level.
Your position is to establish, develop & apply consistently an asset finance collections & litigation policy developing new systems & controls as appropriate. Advising and reporting to senior management and giving guidance and tactical advice on pursuance of arrears, bad & doubtful debts & legal disputes.
You will also oversee, review and advising on all aspects of collections processes including arrears, asset repossession, disposal, insolvency & administration including the legal process and where appropriate provide advice on insolvencies & bankruptcies to ensure maximum recoveries.
Candidate Profile
You must have at least 10 years of collections experience within the asset finance sector which must include litigation and at least 5 of this must have been in a supervisory or management capacity.
You will have a detailed understanding of consumer collections and of collections strategies, practice and procedures and have a working knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules, Consumer Credit Act and Insolvency Law.
You will have a demonstrable record of consistent high performance possess well developed people leadership & development skills have a high level of commitment and be able to make a strategic commitment to the wider development of our clients business.
Base salary to £70,000 ( potentially more for a particularly strong individual ) , with a company car or car allowance and discretionary bonus to c20% of base salary.
