Our client, a highly sought after global financial services organisation have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager to assume responsibility for developing and managing relationships with end users, third party introducers and key vendor Clients to maximise leasing opportunities
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Developing and managing business relationships with end users, third party introducers and vendor clients in order to maximise leasing opportunities in line with business targets and goals Dealing with middle ticket transactions with a value of up to 5 million Managing business through from initial enquiry through to timely new business activation, including liaising with asset management / Risk / Commercial Create and liaise with all sources of new business to identify all business opportunities Conduct new business sales calls with introducers, suppliers and end customers with a view to establishing new business partnerships Formulate lease pricing of new business opportunities (including Residual Values) Initial assessment of credit risk viability of opportunities, and where applicable completion of a credit report for approval by Risk Management Maintenance and enhancement of Excel based sales and report tools, together with excellent understanding of Microsoft product suite, AS400, Front End and other IT platforms. Update on business forecasting spreadsheets for submission to General Manager/Head of Sales on a monthly basis Undertake regular reviews of competitor activity and market intelligence, providing reports / presentations of risks and opportunities, capturing new trends etc
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Strong background within new business generation & negotiation skills Ability to deliver technical sales presentations on finance related matters (both internally and externally to board level) An understanding of previous regulations such as SSAP 21 / FRS5 Accounting standards would also be preferable Experience in Key Account Management A detailed understanding of IFRS & IAS17, its application and the implications towards the Public Sector. Comprehensive understanding of all Lease funding products and pricing methodology Comprehensive understanding of IT Platforms / Microsoft product Suite - particularly Excel A background or knowledge of the Healthcare market place, equipment and competitors would be advantageous Credit Risk / Lending / Balance sheet assessment Good working knowledge of HP17 or Internal Lease Evaluation Tool - i.e. PV / FV / IRR’s etc Ability to discuss contractual / Commercial issues
