Leading bank owned asset financier requires a Development Director to develop corporate asset finance business across the Midlands , Northern Home Counties and East Anglia
Your role will be focused on personally winning and leading a team of 4 staff in the securing of totally new name new business to the group as well as cross selling a broad range of on and off balance sheet asset finance solutions into existing bank customers who are not currently asset finance customers.
The position is a broad one but key to your success will be your ability to borth personally and lead a team in identifying , prospecting and closing new business with large corporate customers in addition to encouraging your bank colleagues to engage you and your team with their existing customers.
Candidate Profile
Whilst the position has responsibility across a large geography it is preferred that you are sensibly accessible to one of our clients regional headquarters in West Midlands or in the South Midlands.
You will have a record of demonstrable success in both sales and importantly also sales leadership positions of new business development in corporate asset finance, ideally as a generalist asset financier with a direct to corporate focus and with a bank background.
However, those with exceptional records of new business development who are specialists in specific assets or those with an intermediary / vendor finance backgrounds are also welcome to apply.
Irrespective of your asset class or route to market experience you must possess strong credit , deal structuring , and documentation skills and have well developed understanding of a range of asset finance products including an up to date knowledge of recent changes to tax treatment of leases.
You must be totally comfortable operating at CEO, CFO’s level with companies operating in the £25M + turnover sector and should have experience of complex transactions to £10m + and must have the gravitas and presence to command the respect and support of both your customers and your bank colleagues.
Above all you must be a true business developer who truly relishes and thrives on the challenge of winning new business.
Salary range extends to £60,000 , possibly slightly more for an exceptional candidate , with potential to earn to 50% of base salary in bonuses providing realistic potential to earn £90,000+ . All usual large company benefits are provided including car allowance, generous pension, 30 days holiday , life and healthcare and end of year group profit share bonus.
